- Firmware Update
In each mode, PowerEgg X’s firmware needs to be upgraded. The remote controller and drone’s firmware will both be upgraded while in drone mode.
Only the drone’s software will be updated when in AI camera mode. If both the drone and remote controller firmware in the drone mode have fresh updates, the drone firmware will often be updated first before the remote controller.
Firmware upgrades come in two varieties: required and optional. Bug fixes and performance enhancements are recommended updates but are not required.
The gadget will still function normally even if the updates are skipped. Critical updates are among those that must be downloaded; without them, the device cannot function.
